Conduits
Conduits
Conduits will allow you to create links between partitions (tenants). If you remember, on the beginning of this document we were talking about creating the Hosted PBX instance. One of the options you were working with on creation was “Username”. You had the option to choose from “New” and an existing username.
If your choice was for an existing username, you should now be able to create inter-tenant/inter-partition conduits, where users from a partition (or office) can call the users from the other partition (or office) by using a prefix.
For example, users from the Jacksonville, FL office can dial the 123 prefix when calling extensions in Chicago, IL.
If user Joe from Jacksonville wants to dial extension 955 from Chicago office, he would dial 123955 and the call would reach the Chicago office.
